Borneo Rainforest Night 2014
Boon Creative Productions was head-over-heels when we were appointed to be the Official Event & Entertainment Designer by a renowned Destination Management Company for their client, Experian Elite.
To reward its outstanding, creme of the crop high-achievers and to provide them with an unforgettable experience, UK-based finance company Experian Elite chose Sabah as their Incentive Destination in 2014. The group was looking to provide a one-of-a-kind experience, something that would have a “wow” factor, something that would be highly memorable!
“Borneo Rainforest” was the chosen theme for the Gala Dinner held at Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort. We came up with Fresh and Unique Creative Proposals that included Customized Acts and Performances - from the beginning to the end. To fit in with the Theme and to give them a Wild and Raw feel of Borneo, we delivered an Opening Gimmick involving a Murut Headhunter Ambush that startled guests during Cocktail. The act complete with gong-beatings and warrior battlecries was something that the guests would never expect. Thereafter the high-spirited warriors led guests to the Grand Ballroom accompanied by even more energetic gong-beatings and fiery warrior chants to signal the arrival of guests.
To cap off our wild and vibrant Borneon welcome fiesta was a high-energy, ultra-modern Customised Fusion Dance featuring Murut Headhunters and Contemporary Tribal Dancers. This had never been done before and the result was a truly unique and mind-blowing production that made a huge impact on the guests. Our client (DMC) was so impressed and happy that the performance was repeated for the next international incentive client!
Apart from the unique dance productions, we provided a Live Party Band which allowed our client and their guests to dance the night away! In fact, the party went on until 3am. Need we say more? We had a blast planning this event and were thrilled that our client enjoyed their night too!
